|  Seven Bangladeshi firms are taking part in the two-day Call Centre Expo 2008, in the UK's Birmingham, beginning Tuesday.
The seven firms are Aamra Outsourcing Ltd, HMC Technology Ltd, InGen Technology, Iqra Media Centre, Legato Services Ltd, Orbit Communications and Windmill Advertising Ltd.
Participation at the show is aimed at attracting foreign clients, a senior official of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission.
The official at the BTRC's media wing said the government would help the call centres participate in more such expos in future.
BTRC chairman Manzurul Alam, telecom secretary Iqbal Mahmood, and Kamal Uddin, executive chairman of the Board of Investment are now in the UK to visit the show.
The BTRC started giving license for call centre in April.
The telecom regulator issued 310 licenses in three categories – Call Centre, Hosted Call Centre and Hosed Call Centre Service Provider. | |
