Two men died and 15 others were injured in clashes erupting in the wake of a political feud in Jajira village under Munshiganj Sadar Upazila early Wednesday, police said.
The deceased were Shahjahan Khan, 40 and his father-in-law Almas Byapari, 60.
The incident took place at around 6 am between the cohorts of Awami League's Amir Hossain Gazi and BNP's Shahjahan Khan over control across the locality, police superintendent Biswas Afzal Hossain told us.
The injured were admitted to local hospitals.
Police sent reinforcements after the incident, the official said
