Nomination form for BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia for Bogra-6 constituency was collected on Wednesday by Bogra district BNP president Rezaul Karim Badsha.
"The inhabitants of this Bogra seat had voted for [Khaleda] in the last election. They want to see her victorious this time too. So the nomination form for her has been bought again," Badsha said to reporters.
Rizvi Ahmed, BNP office secretary, said, "Khaleda is supposed to run from two more seats in the upcoming polls."
"Nominations forms may be collected and deposited until 10pm Wednesday. Interviewing the candidates is due to start at 8am on Thursday," he told us.
More than 1,600 nomination forms were sold until 10pm Tuesday after the BNP central office started selling nomination forms in the morning, he said.
Former Dhaka mayor Abul Hasnat bought nomination form for Dhaka-7, former minister M Shamsul Islam Munshiganj-2 and Dhaka city BNP general secretary Abdus Salam for Kishoreganj-2 in the morning.
